Devotional: “Pour It Out”
Scripture:
“I will pour out my Spirit on all people.” - Joel 2:28
Reflection
There are days when life feels full, but not in a peaceful way. Full of noise, responsibility, emotions, and expectations. We wake up already thinking about what we need to fix, finish, or carry.
But God invites us into a different kind of fullness.
He says, “I will pour out my Spirit.”
Not just a little. Not just when we have time. But poured out, generously, intentionally, and personally.
Just like coffee fills a cup in the morning, God desires to fill our hearts with His presence. And unlike coffee, His presence doesn’t fade after a few hours. It strengthens, restores, and carries us through every moment of the day.
We don’t have to arrive perfect. We just have to come open.
Prayer
Lord,
Slow me down today.
Empty me of stress and worry, and fill me with Your Spirit instead.
Help me receive what You are pouring into my life.
Teach me to stay open, even in busy moments.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Brew Thought
Before your first cup of coffee today, take a deep breath and say:
“Lord, pour into me first.”
Let your coffee remind you, your soul needs filling too.
Encouragement
You are not running on empty.
God is still pouring into you.
Take a moment today to receive it.
